The upcoming release will offer both Quality and Performance modes on Switch 2, each targeting different visual and frame rate configurations.
On Nintendo Switch 2, the Quality mode will run at 3840×2160 in TV mode and 1920×1080 in handheld, with HDR support and a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. The Performance mode reduces resolution to 1920×1080 in both docked and handheld configurations while increasing the frame rate cap to 60 fps, though HDR is not supported in this mode.
The original Nintendo Switch version will operate at 1920×1080 when docked and 1280×720 in handheld, with a 30 fps limit. On PlayStation 5, including PS5 Pro, the game targets 3840×2160 at 30 fps, while Xbox Series X matches this resolution and frame rate. Xbox Series S is listed at 2560×1440. The PC version supports resolutions ranging from 1280×720 up to 3840×2400, with frame rates reaching 60 fps depending on hardware.
HDR support is limited to the Switch 2 Quality mode, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, while Performance mode on Switch 2 and other console versions do not include HDR. Storage requirements vary by platform, with Switch versions requiring approximately 12 GB, PlayStation 5 around 19 GB, Xbox up to 25 GB, and PC around 27 GB.
Digimon Story Time Stranger is scheduled to release on July 10, 2026 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, having previously launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC in October 2025.
