Bandai Namco has officially announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, marking the return of the long-running series after a decade. The new entry is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, with a release planned for 2027.
The reveal took place during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, where the publisher also shared a new trailer offering a first look at the game’s setting and direction. This installment introduces an entirely new world set in AGE 1000, created under the vision of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.
Unlike previous entries, Xenoverse 3 shifts its focus to unexplored territory within the Dragon Ball universe. Players will once again create their own character and shape their journey, this time within a setting centered around West City. The story places players within the ranks of the Great Saiyan Squad, where they will fight alongside allies as new events unfold.
The game is described as a story-driven RPG, combining character progression with action-oriented combat. While specific gameplay systems have yet to be detailed, Bandai Namco indicates that the experience will deliver a fresh take on the series while maintaining its core identity.
Additional information is expected to be revealed in the coming months as development continues, but the announcement signals a significant return for the franchise following a lengthy gap since its last main entry.
