A free demo for Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is now available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. KOEI TECMO America and Omega Force have released the demo ahead of the game’s full launch on October 1, 2026.
The demo features the revived Battle of Hulao Gate (Allied Forces) scenario, where players join Yuan Shao and his coalition of regional warlords against Dong Zhuo. Six officers are playable in the scenario: Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun, Zhenji, Zhou Yu and Sun Shangxiang.
Players can adjust the difficulty and language settings, while certain conditions during the battle can lead to an encounter with an iconic opponent at the end of the stage.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered combines the original Dynasty Warriors 3 with its Xtreme Legends expansion. The remaster features updated graphics and controls, new scenarios and additional features, while more than 40 officers from the original roster return. True Musou Attacks and offline two-player co-op are also included.
An online two-player co-op mode is planned for a post-launch update. KOEI TECMO says further details about the update, including its timing, will be announced later.
The game is available to pre-order in standard and Digital Deluxe editions. The latter includes 42 weapons, six Secret Teachings, the Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet, an Officer Concept Art Collection and 42 retro costumes based on the original game.
Players who pre-order before September 30 will also receive the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle bonus item.
