Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Leaked Images Hint At Return Of Fan Favorite Location

Leaked images from Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware’s upcoming Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, hint at the return of a fan favorite location.

The fan favorite location that is apparently set to make a return in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is none other than the poison swamp. A staple of the Soulsborne games, these cesspools are there to make the lives of players more difficult than it already is. Coming in contact with the poisonous substance adds to a bar showing the build up of poison. If the bar fills up, your character is effectively poisoned, and will receive damage over time until the status wears off or you use an item to remove its effects.

Much like Elden Ring’s Swamp of Aeonia, Demon’s Souls’ Valley of Defilement, Dark Souls’ Blighttown, Dark Souls 2’s Harvest Valley, Dark Souls 3’s Farron Keep, Bloodborne’s Nightmare Frontier, and Sekiro’s Ashina Depths, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree also appears to feature a swamp that is bound to poison many tarnished souls after the expansion’s release on June 2, 2024.
