The last Mystery game in the Epic Games Store giveaway for December 31 is Sifu, the popular roguelike martial arts game.
Sifu is available to claim on the Epic Games Store for everyone with an account, and you shouldn’t hesitate to grab it, as it is an excellent game.
There is also a free updated version of Sifu if you have only played it at launch. This patch added a new expansion, The Arenas, which includes an entirely new game mode with 15 dynamic locations and 120 challenges designed to test your Kung Fu skills.
In Sifu, players can choose to play as either a male or female character on a path of revenge to hunt down their family’s assassins. With no allies and countless enemies, players must rely on their combat abilities and a mysterious amulet that resurrects them at the cost of aging. The game emphasizes mastering Kung Fu through practice, with enemies that don’t wait their turn and environments that require clever positioning and use of throwable objects and makeshift weapons.
Sifu marks the end of the holiday spirits from the Epic Games Store. The last few days have been fun if you had an Epic Games Store account since you could claim more than a dozen games, including some classics like Dredge, Ghostrunner 2, and Sifu. While there were some repeats, this doesn’t discount the number of games that were available in the giveaway this year.
Epic Games will go back to their regular games giveaway in January, where they offer a free game every week. This is expected to continue heading into 2025, and while it is a generous move from them, who knows how long they plan to continue doing it.
