Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Update 1.020 Released, Improves Performance and Visuals
Square Enix has released an update for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth today, which brings performance improvements and bumps the game version to 1.020.
The update includes several key improvements, such as corrections to typos and missing text within the game. These corrections help ensure that the narrative and dialogue are presented clearly. A significant bug fix addresses an issue where the character being controlled would malfunction under specific conditions on the map, which could disrupt gameplay and player progression.
Adjustments have also been made to Red XIII’s abilities “Lunatic High” and “Warrior’s Cheer”, making them less likely to be canceled during battle, thus enhancing combat strategy and execution. The update also resolves a bug where enemies would occasionally stop moving during battle under certain conditions, potentially affecting the challenge and flow of combat.
The update includes several enhancements to the game’s performance. These include improved frame rates and overall game stability. In addition, the visual presentation has been improved with the addition of “Sharp” and “Soft” options to the screen output settings in Performance Mode, allowing players to tailor the visual presentation to their preference.
The update also offers several quality-of-life improvements, including strengthened guiding support for climbing vines in the “Mythril Mine” location, aiding navigation and exploration. Furthermore, new difficulty settings have been added to the customization screens of the “Condor Fort” and “Gambit Gears” mini-games, offering players the ability to adjust the challenge level to their liking.
