Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is exclusive to the Epic Games Store. It appears that the PC version of the game is already cracked.
The game was one of the first ones to be sold for $69.99 on PC. Forspoken is another game that appears to follow a similar price structure but it is still a few months ahead of launch.
There was some backlash against the price of the PC version considering no other publisher has attempted to charge such a higher price from PC owners even if they continued to increase the price of their games on consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series.
It appears that pirates have already managed to crack Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on PC and it is widely being pirated on private and public trackers. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since there was no DRM protection for it at launch, which usually helps a game survive piracy during its launch month.
While Denuvo DRM has a notoriously bad reputation among PC gamers, it is also a lot harder to crack thus games that launch with its protection remain piracy-free for the first few months until hackers can find release a crack to overcome the DRM.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade doesn’t appear to be a great port on PC. While it runs fine, there is a lack of customization options and the frame rate support is the only ‘exclusive’ feature that is available for PC, aside from the obvious mods that might start to come post-launch.
