First Look at Elden Ring Movie Surfaces Through Leaked Set Footage

by Salal Awan

The first glimpse of the upcoming Elden Ring film adaptation has surfaced online, with leaked set footage revealing early production details.

Images and clips circulating on social media appear to show large-scale set construction, including a detailed replica of Queen Marika’s statue. The environment closely resembles the Gothic architecture and visual style seen in the original game, suggesting a strong emphasis on authenticity in the film’s design.

The project, announced in May 2025, is a collaboration between A24 and Bandai Namco, with Alex Garland attached as director. Known for films such as Ex Machina and Annihilation, Garland is expected to bring a distinct tone to the adaptation. George R.R. Martin, who contributed to the game’s lore, is also involved as a creative consultant.

Production is now underway, with reports indicating that filming is taking place in the United Kingdom. While official story details remain limited, the film is rumored to explore the historical events surrounding the Shattering rather than directly adapting the player-driven narrative from the game.

The Elden Ring franchise continues to expand beyond its original release, with new projects and adaptations extending its reach across multiple media. The film is currently expected to arrive in theaters around 2027, though a confirmed release date has not yet been announced.
