Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Date Set for January 26

by Greg Martin

Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027, with pre-orders now available through the PlayStation Store. The Premium Edition will provide five days of early access, allowing players to begin exploring Japan on January 21.

The PS5 version has been developed by Panic Button in collaboration with Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios. Players will have access to Quality and Performance modes, with the former targeting 4K at 30FPS and the latter supporting 60FPS.

All PS5 pre-orders will also include a pre-tuned Ferrari J50, which will be added to the player’s garage after completing the game’s prologue.

The PS5 release will support cross-platform play and cross-save with the Xbox and Steam versions. User-generated content will also be shared across platforms, giving PS5 players access to community-created EventLab races, Prefabs, Garages, Estates, Liveries and Tuning Setups.

The first Premium Expansion for Forza Horizon 6 will launch on January 21, 2027, across all platforms. It will be included with the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade and Expansions Bundle, while also being available separately.

A free content update will launch alongside the PS5 version and first expansion, although Playground Games has not yet revealed its contents. The developer also confirmed that the game will receive six months of updates, including the new Drift Attack feature and the first expansion.
