Here Are The Games Coming To & Leaving Xbox Game Pass In January 2024
The list of games headed to Xbox Game Pass in wave 1 for the month of January, 2024 have been revealed early. The subscription service is starting the month with plenty of games for fans to look forward to.
The new games to be added to the service this month include Close to the Sun, Hell Let Loose, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Figment, Super Mega Baseball 4, We Happy Few, Resident Evil 2, and more.

Prominently featured in January’s Xbox Game Pass catalogue update is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a 2020 action role-playing game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. Serving as the twelfth major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and the sequel to 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the game is primarily set in the years 872–878 AD. It tells a fictional tale during the Viking expansions into the British Isles. The player assumes the role of Eivor Varinsdottir, a Viking raider striving to establish a new Viking clan in England. Eivor becomes entangled in the long-standing conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood, advocates of peace and liberty, and the Templar Order, seeking peace through control. The game also features a framing story set in the 21st century, following Layla Hassan, an Assassin reliving Eivor’s memories to discover a means of saving the Earth from impending destruction.
