Gang of Dragon Studio Reportedly Removes YouTube Channel Amid Funding Uncertainty

by Salal Awan

Nagoshi Studio has reportedly taken down its official YouTube channel, with fans noting that trailers for its debut project, Gang of Dragon, are no longer accessible. The development was first spotted by users on Reddit, where one post claimed, “Seems like the YouTube channel and Gang of Dragon trailer is gone now.”

The reported removal comes shortly after concerns emerged regarding the studio’s future. Earlier reports indicated that NetEase plans to halt funding for Nagoshi Studio as part of a broader reduction in game development investments. According to Bloomberg, employees were informed of the decision, with financing expected to stop in May.

The situation has raised questions about the status of Gang of Dragon, which was announced as the studio’s first project following Toshihiro Nagoshi’s departure from Sega in 2021. The game, unveiled in late 2025, is described as a cinematic action adventure set in Tokyo’s Kabukicho district, focusing on a crime driven narrative.

While the disappearance of the YouTube channel has not been officially addressed, its timing alongside the reported funding changes has led to speculation about the project’s future. Neither Nagoshi Studio nor NetEase has publicly commented on the channel’s removal at the time of writing.
