Fans are reporting long wait times and a huge queue when attempting to play the Gears of War 5 Tech Test. The servers for the tech test are live now on Xbox One and PC.
Gears of War 5 Tech Test will offer a limited number of multiplayer modes and playable on Xbox One and PC. It will be released in two phases with the first one being live today. The tech test is roughly 12 GB and it can be downloaded if you have pre-ordered the game or own an Xbox Game Pass subscription.

There has been an increased demand for the tech test as evident with the long server queues which are leading to a lot of wait time for people. It can be as long as several hours to a few minutes depending on your luck, but it has been happening to a lot of fans who have pre-ordered the game.
There is a thread on reddit in addition to several tweets shared by players who are attempting to play the tech test. This has led to Gears of War 5 developer The Coalition responding to the fans in a tweet. They have assured the fans that they are looking at the server queue wait times.
