God of War Ragnarok PS5 vs PC Graphics Comparison
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio’s action adventure game, God of War Ragnarok, is now available on PC, and if you’re wondering how it compares to the existing PS5 version, read ahead.
In terms of graphical settings, the PC version of God of War Ragnarok offers very few improvements over the PS5 version, including better anisotropic filtering. In addition, the PC version comes with support for ultra wide displays and image reconstruction via DLSS, XeSS, FSR, as well as Frame Generation.
In terms of image quality, the PS5 version of God of War Ragnarok runs at a native resolution of 4K (2160p) in Quality mode and around 1800p in Performance mode. Meanwhile, the PC has the option to deliver native 4K on capable hardware. In addition, better image reconstruction options like DLSS, XeSS, and FSR are available on the platform.
With regards to performance, the PS5 version of Concord targets and consistently runs at a frame rate of 30 fps in Quality mode and 60 fps in Performance mode. On 120 Hz displays that support VRR, the frame rate can go above 40 fps in Quality mode and above 60 fps in Performance mode. The PC version offers the option to play at higher frame rates, and it also supports Frame Generation via DLSS3 and FSR3 to smooth out any visual inconsistencies due to fluctuations n performance.
All in all, the PC version of God of War Ragnarok offers minimal graphical improvements over the PS5 version, though it can deliver a notable improvement in terms of resolution and frame rate. It also adds some worthwhile features, including support for better image reconstruction techniques, like DLSS, XeSS, FSR, Frame Generation as well as ultra wide screens.
