God of War Ragnarok Release Date Hinted In PlayStation Database
God of War Ragnarok is one of the most highly anticipated PS5 games of 2022, so naturally, its release date is taken with a lot of interest.
Just like we had a release date leak for Sonic Frontiers, we are now seeing the same for God of War Ragnarok. Sony has its PlayStation Database with internal release dates or placeholders for some of the upcoming games that have been listed for pre-order on the PlayStation Store, and one among them, GOW Ragnarok is also present.
According to the internal date, which could be a placeholder, the game is targeting a launch in Q3, 2022. The release date is listed as September 30, 2022, but that is likely a placeholder considering it is the end of the third quarter. The original God of War reboot was supposed to arrive in early 2018 and it was later pushed to May. The game was developed by Sony Santa Monica Studios and directed by Cory Barlog, who is not working on the sequel.
God of War Ragnarok continues the story from the first game and features Kratos and Atreus as they face the threat of Ragnarok. The game is set in Norse mythology offering new gods and locations compared to the Greek mythology of the older God of War games.
The game is set to launch for PS4 and PS5 and currently has a release window of 2022 with no official update.
