To first trigger this quest, the player needs to find the teleport portal located near Sindri’s shop. It is on a small patch of Island right in the middle of the map. There is a path to the north leading to a cliff where there is a locked door. Mimir will recall that there is someone trapped behind it.

The key to this door can be found on a small Island that is right East of Sindri’s shop. This Island can be easily identified since it will have a blue flag and it is located next to a large structure in the sea that appears to be sunken underwater.

It is a pretty straightforward Island to explore however there is a simple tricky part involving an elevator near the end. You will need to find an elevated path for Kratos to jump from and break down the structure below, so head down the building and jump to the elevator first. Use that to break down the floor and fight the minibeast down and get the key to the door.

Afterward, return to the location on the map and use the key on the door and then blow the horn to unlock Lyngbakr. You can use the video guide to get a better idea of what to do here.

Once the Island is unlocked, you will need to find three chains that are tied to Lyngbakr and then break them down. This will free the creature, however, the ending has a certain twist that we won’t spoil here. Sufficient to say, it does provide some interesting lore to the world of God of War Ragnarok as well as shed light on the past of Mimir.

There are some other puzzles in God of War Ragnarok like the Mine puzzle involving the water wheel, so make sure you know how to utilize your abilities in such tricky situations.
