Rockstar Games is “95%” likely to stick to the November 19, 2026, release date for its upcoming open-world action-adventure game, GTA VI, it is claimed.
During the latest episode of the GTAVIoclock podcast, hosts James Jarvis and Dan Dawkins mentioned hearing internal industry chatter that suggests GTA VI is now highly now highly unlikely to face another delay, with confidence levels reaching as high as “95%” that developer Rockstar Games will meet its currently targeted November 19, 2026, release date.
Discussing the possibility of further setbacks, Jarvis noted that his confidence has steadily increased based on what he’s been hearing: “I’m pretty confident from the things that we’ve been hearing that there’s no delay in coming. I think the other week we put percentages on it and was like 83% or something like that. I’d been now like 96% confident in the November 19th release date.” Dawkins echoed similar sentiments, agreeing that the likelihood of a delay is minimal, estimating “maybe it is as high as a 95%,” suggesting only a “one in 20 chance” of anything derailing the launch at this stage. Both hosts emphasized that their views are not just speculation, but informed by their connections within the games industry.
As for GTA VI’s eagerly anticipated Trailer 3, the hosts believe its arrival will closely align with Take-Two Interactive’s upcoming May, 2026, investor call, following a pattern established with previous Rockstar Games titles. Historically, the company has preferred to release major updates ahead of such calls to control messaging and avoid overshadowing financial discussions.
By analyzing past investor call dates, typically falling in the third week of May and often on a Thursday, the duo predicted that this year’s call could land around May 14, 2026. Based on that assumption, the game‘s third trailer is likely to arrive a bit earlier, potentially on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Rockstar Games’ well-known preference for Tuesday releases further strengthens this prediction.
However, an earlier date hasn’t been ruled out. Dawkins suggested that May 5, 2026, could also be in play, describing both dates as “hot” candidates. Ultimately, the expectation is that Trailer 3 will kick off the final marketing push roughly six months ahead of launch, offering a deeper look at the game’s world, characters, and tone.
