In a recent panel held at PAX East, Hideki Kamiya has expressed his desire to work on games like Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and even a Dante vs. Bayonetta.

When he was questioned about which old IP he wants to revisit in the future, Kamiya had a candid response to this question.

“Okami 2… Scalebound… Viewtiful Joe 3… Dante vs. Bayonetta… Devil May Cry 0… I want to make everything! Please email Capcom, ” said Kamiya during the panel.

This is not the first time Kamiya has expressed his interest in revisiting IPs that he has previously worked on in the past. He had a similar response during an interview with Dengeki PlayStation a couple of years back.

“I would like to work on the remake of Devil May Cry or Viewtiful Joe or on the right sequel for Ōkami. A cooperative game with Dante and Bayonetta would also be interesting. Dear Capcom, if that’s ok, I’ll help whenever you need me, ” said Kamiya in his interview with Dengeki PlayStation.

Capcom has started to revisit their old IPs and is relaunching some of them on the current generation. They have released a remaster of Onimusha and Okami. Devil May Cry 5 was a major success for Capcom and the sales of the game have eclipsed Devil May Cry 4, the previous best-selling game in the series. Bayonetta 3 is still in development at Platinum Games although Kamiya is not working on the game as a director.
