Leaker Teases Shin Megami Tensei V: Complete Edition Via Cryptic Message

A known leaker has teased the existence of a Complete Edition for Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei V via a cryptic message.

The aforementioned leaker, A9VG’s Xun, who regularly shares PlayStation-related announcements with image-based riddles that are usually accurate, posted a new thread recently, where they hinted at the arrival of a Complete Edition for Shin Megami Tensei V.

The map in the first frame of the GIF image shared by Xun is directly taken from Shin Megami Tensei V. Additionally, the text on the screen in the second image states “Complete Edition” multiple times. This screen is a reference to a glitch from the first Shin Megami Tensei.

In another GIF image, over to the left, it’s possible to see Stephen Hawking. The Shin Megami Tensei series features a wheelchair-bound recurring character named Stephen, who did not appear in Shin Megami Tensei V. The image itself is taken from the Shin Megami Tensei 2021 concert, an it’s likely that he makes an appearance in the Complete Edition.

Based on the above hints dropped by A9VG’s Xun, they appear to be teasing a Shin Megami Tensei V: Complete Edition announcement that is set to happen sometime soon.

Previously, it was revealed that Atlus West is scheduled to hold a panel titled “Atlus Industry Panel”, and the developer claims this is where fans will get to know about all the “exciting happenings”, likely related to the Shin Megami Tensei series. The description of the event states, “By the time you’re reading this, the cat is out of the bag..”, suggesting that some major announcements will be made prior to this panel.

It’s likely that there will be some announcements from the developer at a future event. This has further been hinted by Twitter user NWeedle, who recently claimed that Shin Megami Tensei V will soon no longer be exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
