Lies of P developer Neowiz has revealed that it’s working on a Soulslike title and a narrative-based role-playing game.
In its investor presentation (via shinobi602 on Twitter/X) for the third quarter of 2025, Lies of P developer Neowiz confirmed that it is working on a Soulslike title and a narrative-based role-playing game. In addition, the studio is working on several other projects, including a sequel to Lies of P, a survival action adventure game, and a life simulation game.
Last year, industry sources revealed that Lies of P developer Round8 Studio is working on a sci-fi survival horror game. To support the development of its next title, the studio recruited fresh talent, including level designers and scenario planners. The job postings described the project as a sci-fi survival horror title. It’s targeting both PC and console platforms, and is being developed using Unreal Engine 5. A representative from Neowiz Games stated, “It’s too early to disclose the progress or details of the project,” but confirmed, “It is one of the PC and console games currently being developed by Round8 Studio.”
The survival horror genre has a dedicated following in the global gaming market, with franchises like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Dead Space having received both critical and commercial success. With a similar sci-fi setting, the Lies of P developer likely aims to follow the success of the latter with its new IP.
For the uninitiated, Lies of P was released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on September 19, 2023. It blends elements of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. The game offers a dark reinterpretation of Carlo Collodi’s 1883 novel The Adventures of Pinocchio. Designed in the Soulslike style, it takes place in the steampunk-inspired city of Krat, modeled after the Belle Époque era. Players control Pinocchio, referred to as “P”, an automaton known as a Puppet.
