Square Enix has implemented 60 FPS support for Life is Strange True Colors on the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles after skipping it for the launch of the game.
LiS True Colors didn’t ship with support for 60 FPS. While the game did support ray-tracing, it was running at 30 FPS even on the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles and didn’t offer a stable frame rate either. The new patch deployed by Square Enix has added a new graphics mode called High Performance in addition to the High-Resolution mode.
The patch notes for the new update confirm that this mode will run up to 60 FPS, likely at a lower resolution and without ray-tracing support. The verdict is still up in the air on whether this mode manages to hold up 60 FPS.
