CI Games debuted a new trailer for Lords of the Fallen II during Summer Game Fest 2026, offering a fresh look at the upcoming soulslike action RPG while confirming that the game will launch simultaneously across PC and consoles in fall 2026.

Titled The Battle for Thorngar, the trailer showcases new environments, enemies, weapons, and story elements as CI Games continues to build on the foundation established by 2023’s Lords of the Fallen. The publisher confirmed that the sequel will arrive on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day.

Among the biggest reveals is Ysiguen, a newly unveiled region inspired in part by Asian mythology. The area features towering pagodas, supernatural landscapes, and demonic influences that have transformed the once-majestic environment into a dangerous battleground. Players will also encounter Lingao the Souring Storm, a massive dragon empowered by lightning that serves as one of the region’s formidable threats.

The trailer additionally introduced a new katana weapon class, fulfilling one of the most frequently requested additions from the community. Katanas join the previously announced scythes as part of the sequel’s expanded arsenal, giving players more combat styles and build options. CI Games also showcased several new non-playable characters who will assist players throughout their journey, while teasing a number of powerful Lords of Darkness that stand as major adversaries.

According to the developer, Lords of the Fallen II is intended to be a more ambitious evolution of the franchise, shaped by player feedback gathered since the launch of the previous game. The studio noted that it has incorporated lessons learned from over 70 post-launch updates released for the 2023 title.

Combat remains a central focus, with CI Games promising a faster and more responsive system built around the aggressive gameplay style that has become a hallmark of the series. The sequel will feature expanded combat abilities, more brutal finishing moves, and enhanced dismemberment mechanics designed to make encounters feel more impactful.

Beyond combat improvements, the game will introduce a larger and more diverse world populated by biome-specific enemy factions. Boss encounters are also being expanded, with the studio aiming to create more dynamic battles throughout the adventure. Other features confirmed for launch include shared-progression cooperative multiplayer and a more immersive version of the Umbral realm, one of the defining mechanics of the franchise.

The announcement comes as CI Games celebrates a major milestone for the previous entry. The publisher revealed that Lords of the Fallen (2023) has surpassed 2.5 million copies sold as of March 2026. To mark the occasion, all players of the game will receive the previously pre-order-exclusive Precious Metals Armour Tincts DLC at no additional cost, providing new armor customization options.

CI Games also confirmed that both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Lords of the Fallen (2023) are currently discounted by up to 75% across select platforms and storefronts.

Lords of the Fallen II is available to wishlist now on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is scheduled to launch in fall 2026, with global physical distribution being handled by PLAION.
