Mario Tennis Fever Update 1.1.0 Adds GameShare, Galaxy Court, and New Racket

Nintendo has released Mario Tennis Fever Update 1.1.0, introducing several new features alongside a wide range of gameplay improvements and balance adjustments. The update adds GameShare support, a new court inspired by Super Mario Galaxy, a new Fever Racket, and additional playable character options.

Beyond the new content, the patch rebalances multiple characters and Fever Rackets, improves Star Shot execution, expands court selection, and includes several quality-of-life updates designed to improve the overall experience.

Patch Notes

New Features

  • Added GameShare support.
    • Players can now play with friends through GameChat even if they do not own the game.
    • Play via GameChat supports tennis matches using swing controls, button controls, and Mix It Up.
    • A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use GameChat.
  • Added the new Black Hole Racket.
    • Creates a black hole when a Fever Shot lands.
    • Nearby players are pulled towards the black hole as it grows.
    • Players take damage while near the black hole.
    • Players whose HP reaches zero are pulled into the black hole.
    • Black holes do not affect incoming tennis balls.
  • Added the Galaxy Court.
    • Inspired by Super Mario Galaxy.
    • Features high-bouncing balls.
    • Court layouts vary depending on the selected game mode.
  • Added the Galaxy Court Match special mode.
    • Takes place on a spherical court.
    • Prankster Comets appear during matches and alter gameplay.
  • Added five new playable Luma colour variants.
  • Added Mario’s Classic Outfit as a reward for collecting five medals.

Diddy Kong

  • Slightly increased shot power.
  • Slightly improved sideline accuracy.
  • Fixed weak backhand Star Shots.

Kamek

  • Increased shot spin.

Dry Bones

  • Increased running speed.
  • Improved sideline accuracy.
  • Slightly increased the distance for stable returns.

Pauline

  • Improved sideline accuracy.

Bowser Jr.

  • Improved sideline accuracy.

Baby Peach

  • Increased stable return distance.

Piranha Plant

  • Slightly increased stable return distance.

Yoshi

  • Fixed weak backhand Star Shots.

Nabbit

  • Fixed weak forehand Star Shots.
  • Increased backhand shot strength.

Dry Bowser

  • Increased forehand shot strength.

Luigi

  • Increased vertical reach.

Baby Luigi

  • Increased vertical reach.

Toad

  • Fixed incorrect racket effects.
  • Slightly increased stable return distance.

Rosalina

  • Delayed running start slightly.
  • Reduced sideline accuracy.
  • Increased drop shot bounce and travel distance.

Donkey Kong

  • Delayed running start slightly.

Blooper

  • Slightly reduced sideline accuracy.

Fever Racket Changes

Mini Mushroom Racket

  • Shrink effect now ends after each point.

Ice Flower Racket

  • Reduced freeze duration after touching an Ice Ball.
  • Reduced maximum Ice Balls from five to four.

Star Racket

  • Removes Mini Mushroom effects while active.

Bullet Bill Racket

  • Improved sideline accuracy.

Freezing Racket

  • Effect now expires only after 15 seconds.
  • Removed the rally-count expiration condition.

Amp Racket

  • Effect now expires after 12 seconds instead of 20 rallies.

Metal Racket

  • Reduces player movement speed while active.
  • Movement speed matches low HP movement speed.
  • Removes Mini Mushroom effects while active.

? Block Racket

  • Added Black Hole Shots as a possible Fever Shot effect.

Gameplay Changes

  • Adjusted Star Point detection to make Star Shots easier to perform.

Other Changes

  • Added Academy Court (Grass), Academy Court (Hard), and Academy Court (Clay) to court selection.
  • Added a Random option to racket selection.
  • Selecting Continue after a match can now assign a different racket.
  • Added an option to disable pressing the A and B Buttons together for flat shots.
  • Adjusted random mode selection for Search All Modes in Ranked Matches.
  • Added Galaxy Court to Ranked Matches.
  • Updated Ranked Match court rotation order.
  • Adjusted Racket Factory Match so picking up a Fever Racket fills the FV Gauge to one bar if it is empty.
  • Made several additional gameplay adjustments and bug fixes.

Mario Tennis Fever is a sports game developed by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo. The game launched on February 12, 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Update 1.1.0 was released on July 15, 2026.
