Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Day One Patch Improves Performance and Online Play

Arc System Works has released the day one update for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, delivering a broad range of performance optimisations, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes across PlayStation 5 and PC. The update primarily targets CPU usage, online performance, and graphics settings, particularly for the PC version.

Players can also expect improved server stability, reduced input latency, refined command inputs, and fixes for various crashes, UI issues, and connectivity problems. PlayStation 5 users additionally benefit from further input lag mitigation.

  • Reduced CPU load by removing unnecessary character animation updates.
  • Improved user interface update performance.
  • Improved performance when using applications with overlays or video capture, including OBS Studio Game Capture and Discord overlays.
  • Added an anti-aliasing option to the automatic graphics quality setting to better match system performance.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed unintended anti-aliasing plug-ins, including DLSS, FSR, and XeSS, to become enabled.
  • Added an option to adjust the update frequency of stage background characters through Custom Graphics Quality and Effect Quality settings.
  • Medium and Low background character settings now reduce CPU load by lowering update frequency.
  • Enabled the shader warm-up prompt by default at startup.
  • Fixed an issue that caused shader warm-up to run unintentionally at startup.

  • Fixed a delay when sending input data during online matches.
  • Improved online match responsiveness.

PlayStation 5

  • Added additional measures to reduce input lag.

Online and Connectivity

  • Improved communication stability between the client and game servers.

  • Fixed an issue where players could become invisible in the Online Lobby after viewing Ranked Mode rankings.
  • Fixed a Ranked Mode issue where the screen became distorted when displaying a large number of digits.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when rapidly using the mouse in menus.
  • Fixed a performance issue caused by displaying large amounts of text, particularly when using Arabic or Thai.
