Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Devs Share Official PC Troubleshooting Steps Amid Performance Issues

by Salal Awan

Arc System Works has shared a list of community-recommended troubleshooting steps for players experiencing gameplay and performance issues in the PC version of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

In a series of posts on X, the studio said it is continuing to investigate the reported problems but wanted to highlight several fixes that players have found helpful. The developer stressed that these are community suggestions rather than officially confirmed solutions, and results may vary depending on individual PC configurations.

One of the recommendations is to run the game’s Shader Warm-Up feature. Players can enable it by opening Graphics Settings, turning on Shader Warm-Up at Launch, selecting Run Shader Warm-Up, and waiting for the process to complete before playing.

The studio also shared several display and NVIDIA-related adjustments reported to improve performance. These include switching from Borderless Fullscreen to Fullscreen, disabling Frame Generation in the NVIDIA App when using DLSS, and turning off the NVIDIA App Overlay.

For players recording or streaming gameplay, Arc System Works said some overlay and capture features may impact performance. Community members have reported improvements after disabling Steam Game Recording and the Discord Overlay, closing other recording software, using Window Capture instead of Game Capture in OBS, and sharing the entire screen through Discord rather than selecting the game window directly. Players are also advised to restart the game if performance issues continue after streaming.

The developer also addressed a separate Steam Anti-Cheat Error. According to community reports, affected players have resolved the issue by deleting the eos_eac_setup folder located in the game’s Prerequisites directory, verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam, and launching the game again after verification. Arc System Works noted that these steps apply only to anti-cheat errors and are not intended to resolve performance or frame rate issues.

The studio thanked players for continuing to submit bug reports and performance feedback while the investigation remains ongoing. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to launch on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC.
