Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Has Appeared On The Xbox Store

Activision and Raven Software’s 2006 action role-playing game, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, has found its way to the Xbox store.

The Xbox store has added a store page for the Xbox One version of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and game that had previously been discontinued by Activision. As per the details mentioned on the store page, just as before, the re-released Xbox version of the game will support online multiplayer for up to 4 players.

It goes without saying that this version of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance will also run on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles via backwards compatibility. For those who previously missed out on the chance to grab should be able to do so sometime soon.

The return of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on the Xbox store suggests that other Activision titles that were previously discontinued may also get re-released on Microsoft’s digital storefront.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance has developed a cult following over the years since its release nearly two decades ago in 2006. It was originally released for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Later, it was ported to PlayStation Portable and Wii by Vicarious Visions, and to Microsoft Windows by Beenox. Additionally, a Game Boy Advance version was developed by Barking Lizards Technologies. In July 2016, a re-released version, based on the latest Xbox 360 edition, was ported by Zoë Mode for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The latter is the version that has appeared on the Xbox store after being discontinued.

Set in the Marvel Universe, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance showcases various superheroes, supervillains, and supporting characters from Marvel Comics. Similar to Raven Software’s previous Marvel titles, X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, the game allows players to assemble their ultimate superhero team from a wide selection of characters. It presents an original storyline, where Marvel heroes unite to stop Doctor Doom and his Masters of Evil from accomplishing their plans for world domination.
