Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Download Size & Pre-Load Date Revealed
The download size and digital pre-load date for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games’ upcoming action-adventure game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has been revealed.
According to the official Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition console bundle retail box, the web-swinging superhero’s latest adventure will take up a sizeable chunk of storage space on PS5. Those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that internal SSD expansion options are available for those who need them.

The pre-load will come with the latest update pre-installed for those who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on October 20, 2023. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update.
Details regarding the review embargo for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have not yet been revealed.
Previously, the official Insomniac Games Twitter account revealed that the studio does not plan on releasing a demo for Spider-Man 2, and that the unique suits included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will not be offered to owners of other editions.
In response to a Twitter user who spoke against the practice of locking in-game outfits to one specific edition of the game, Insomniac Games stated that the situation is basically equivalent to the 9 suits offered in the first game. In order to gain access to those suits, players had to have bought the Digital Deluxe Edition. On the plus side, these suits aren’t locked behind pre-orders and will, therefore, continue to be available, and those who are on a tight budget will be able to pick it up during a sale.
