Fans can, therefore, look forward to hearing what critics have to say about the latest chapter in Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ story.

Spider-man 2 review embargo

The pre-load for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will begin on October 13, 2023. It will come with the latest update pre-installed for those who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on October 20, 2023. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update. The game weighs in at a 98 GB, and will, therefore, require plenty of space for installation.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It’s based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man and draws inspiration from the character’s comic book history and various adaptations in other media. This game serves as the third installment in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series, following Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). Peter Parker and Miles Morales face personal challenges while dealing with an array of villains, including a private militia led by Kraven the Hunter, the Lizard, and the Venom symbiote. The symbiote bonds with Parker, negatively impacting him and endangering his personal relationships.

The gameplay in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 builds on the foundation laid by its predecessors. It expands on the existing abilities of both Peter Parker and Miles Morale for traversal and combat, introducing new web-based gadgets and unlockable suits as the story progresses. Much like in the previous games, players can take on side-missions and collectibles scattered throughout the open-world sandbox, with the option to seamlessly switch between Parker and Morales to complete specific objectives for each character.
