Meccha Chameleon has surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide, reaching a major sales milestone just weeks after its launch.
Developed and published by Japanese indie developer lemorion_1224 with assistance from Haganeiro, the multiplayer hide-and-seek game was released for Windows PC via Steam on June 10, 2026.
Meccha Chameleon puts players into teams of hunters and chameleons in a unique twist on the prop hunt formula. Rather than transforming into environmental objects, players control plain white humanoid characters and must manually paint their bodies while adjusting their poses to blend into their surroundings.
Success depends on accurately matching the environment through colour, positioning and timing, as players attempt to evade the opposing team until the match timer expires.
The newly announced figure confirms that Meccha Chameleon has now sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, making it a significant commercial success for the indie title.
