Nintendo has released Update 1.0.3 for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, addressing several bugs that could interrupt gameplay or prevent players from progressing. The patch focuses primarily on fixing issues involving Mii interactions, money display, relationship tracking, and stability.
The update also includes changes to local play, preventing the transfer of Mii characters or other creations when island or player names contain numbers or text subject to display restrictions.

Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed an issue that could prevent game progression when attempting to visit a Mii from the Mii List at the same time the Mii entered or exited the Ferris wheel.
- Fixed a rare issue where receiving money could cause the displayed amount of money to become incorrect, preventing game progression.
- Fixed a rare issue where repeatedly increasing a Mii character’s satisfaction level could trigger an error and close the game.
- Fixed an issue where the number of days since two Mii characters became sweethearts or got married could display incorrectly.
- Fixed an issue where the camera zoomed in too closely while giving a Mii character a head rub.
- Fixed an issue where certain objects could occasionally fail to display correctly during Mii News or in the Photo Studio.
- Fixed an issue where a Mii character could own all required clothing items for an outfit, but the game failed to recognise the completed outfit.
- Fixed an issue where lingo taught to Mii characters was not always spoken in full.
- Fixed additional issues to improve the overall gameplay experience.
Local Play Changes
- Mii characters and other creations can no longer be transferred through local play if the island name or player name contains numbers or text that is subject to display restrictions.
