Update: As per the LinkedIn profile of Other Ocean Interactive software developer Jacob Critch, the studio is currently working on an unannounced title. However, it remains to be seen whether this is the alleged MediEvil 2 remake.

A remake of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s 2000 action adventure game, MediEvil 2, may be getting shadow dropped at the rumored PlayStation Showcase or State of Play presentation in May, 2024.

Alleged playtester and Discord member Orangee, who has previously leaked information related to Gravity Rush projects, including details regarding the upcoming movie based on the series, has now shared that a MediEvil 2 remake has been in development at Other Ocean Interactive since the year 2021, and that it is slated for release in May, 2024.

This doesn’t come as particularly surprising, given how the original MediEvil remake was also developed by Other Ocean Interactive. As with the previous title, the MediEvil 2 remake will likely be released on both PS4 and PS5, with the latter receiving further enhancements over the previous-gen version.

It appears that Sony Interactive Entertainment is planning on shadow dropping the MediEvil 2 remake during the upcoming PlayStation showcase or State of Play presentation that is rumored to happen in May, 2024. During a recent episode of Giant Bomb’s Bombcast, host Jeff Grubb, who is known for his sources within the game industry, shared that he’d heard about a PlayStation Showcase event or a State of Play presentation happening next month in May, 2024, and that it would likely feature the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Orangee had initially revealed on Discord that Gravity Rush 2 remastered will be released during the coming summer. They had also mentioned that the PC version won’t be released alongside the PS5 version, and will instead arrive at a later date. Since then, they appeared on the gaming enthusiast forum Icon Era and offered some further details regarding the project. The playtester mentioned a late summer release as an internal planned release window for the Gravity Rush 2 remaster. They added that there’s already a Steam Deck build, and that it may be possible for them to “show it off soon”.
