Metal Gear Solid 4 emulation on PC is now getting closer to reality as within just a week, the developers have made some big improvements to the game.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the only mainline game in the series, for now, that is exclusive to a single platform. It is considered as a masterpiece by fans but since the game is only available on PS3, it is the only way to play it. Furthermore, the visuals also don’t look that good now with a low resolution, blurry filters, and a low frame rate.

RPCS3 is a PS3 emulator that has enabled PS3 games to run at a higher frame rate and resolution. One such example is Persona 5, which can now run at 4K and 60 FPS. Another current example is for Demon’s Souls which can achieve 4K and 60 FPS on the emulator.

Metal Gear Solid 4 might be on its way to join the list of games that can run at 4K and 60 FPS on the emulator. It was able to boot in-game for the first time in many years. Today, the developers have shared another update that confirms that the game can run properly on PC and the visual glitches are patched.
