Update: Here is a video comparison between the original and the new remake.
The character models for Snake, Zero, and Paramedic appear to be quite faithful to their counterparts in the original. Some differences are expected due to changes in rendering technology in the modern era. However, the face model for The Boss does appear notably different, which has led to a mixed reception from fans. Some appreciated her appearance in the remake for more accurately portraying the character’s age. Meanwhile, others see her face model in the remake as less authentic to the character they remember from the original. Some even suggested the idea of modding her original face into the PC version upon release.
As apparent from the screenshots above, the overall color tone in the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is quite different from the original, which has a green-ish yellow tint. Though, fans need not worry, as those who prefer the original color tone can opt for it in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The game will include the option to enable a filter to bring things more in line with the color tone of the original.
