Metro 2039 is set for a major presence at gamescom 2026, with the developers planning a series of reveals, a new gameplay trailer and the first impressions from press and creators throughout the week. The game will also be playable on the show floor from August 26 through August 30 in Hall 9.1.
The first announcement is scheduled for Monday, August 24, when an exclusive reveal will be shared through the official Metro social media and community channels. The developers have teased the announcement as something fans will not want to miss, although no further details have been provided.
On Tuesday, August 25, the next gameplay trailer for Metro 2039 will debut during Gamescom Opening Night Live. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 8PM CEST, 7PM BST and 11AM PDT.
Wednesday will bring the first previews of Metro 2039 from members of the press and content creators. Selected media and creators have been given access to a section of the game, with their first impressions scheduled to begin appearing on Wednesday morning.
The gamescom show floor will then open on Thursday and remain accessible through Sunday. Visitors will be able to play Metro 2039 at the game’s booth in Hall 9.1, making it one of the first opportunities for attendees to get hands-on with the upcoming title.
The booth will feature playable stations supported by NVIDIA, AOC and Turtle Beach, along with photo opportunities and Metro 2039 merchandise. The developers are encouraging fans attending gamescom to visit Hall 9.1 and experience the game in person.
