Capcom has released a new story expansion for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, with the Additional Side Story: Rudy DLC now available across all platforms. The launch is accompanied by a free update that introduces a new endgame challenge featuring Royal Monsters.
Revealed by series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, the new DLC explores the backstory of Rudy, the Royal Felyne, and the lineage of his ancestors. The adventure sees Rudy caught in an unexpected situation that leads to a meeting with Navirou, the legendary Felyne known for saving the world in the original Monster Hunter Stories.
The Additional Side Story: Rudy expansion is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $9.99. Players who purchased the Deluxe Edition or Premium Deluxe Edition already have access to the new content as part of their edition.
As players progress through Rudy and Navirou’s adventure, they will encounter the fearsome Nergigante, alongside other formidable monsters.
Launching at the same time is a free update that introduces Royal Monsters as a new endgame challenge. Players with completed save data can now tackle the Final Battle on Hard difficulty. Successfully clearing it unlocks Royal Monster variants of nearly every creature in the game, including Invasive Monsters and Calamitous Elder Dragons, providing experienced Rangers with a significantly tougher test.
