Mortal Kombat 11 File Size Is Almost 3x Larger Than Switch On PC, 2x On PS4 and Xbox One
Mortal Kombat 11 is now available to pre-load on all platforms so here is a comparison of the file size. It reveals an interesting difference between the Nintendo Switch weighing offering the smallest size compared to the largest size on PC.
Mortal Kombat 11 physical version needs a massive download on the Nintendo Switch in the form of an update. The game won’t be out until April 23 and there is a review embargo set for April 22, so we don’t know what the critics have to say about it.
The file size is gradually getting confirmed for each platform beginning first with the Nintendo Switch and now the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC version file size has also been revealed.
Mortal Kombat 11 File Size For PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch
- 22.5 GB (Nintendo Switch)
- 38.2 GB (Xbox One)
- 42.6 GB (PS4)
- 64.5 GB (PC)
This also reportedly includes any day one update however it is possible that there might be another one closer to launch, so this is not the final size for the game on any platform. It is hard to explain the discrepancy between the PC and the console version because there are almost more than 20 GB of difference between the consoles and PC.
Regarding the Nintendo Switch version, we have already seen gameplay footage from it and the textures are either lower quality or compressed, so the comparison with PS4 and Xbox One just doesn’t do it any favor. It looks fine and plays decently otherwise if you want to enjoy it as a portable version.
