Rumors regarding a new Nintendo Direct have heated up after an unlisted video hinted at the return of eShop vouchers in the US.
It appears that a promotional video from Nintendo that was intended to go live at a later date, possibly during an upcoming Direct, showed up on the internet, suggesting the return of eShop vouchers for Nintendo Switch Online. The offer has been absent from North America since four years.
If it is indeed true that game vouchers are making a return to Nintendo eShop in the US, it will mean that Nintendo Switch owners will have the opportunity to pay $100 and be eligible for two vouchers, with which they can purchase two Nintendo published digital games. Doing so results in a saving of $20 bucks on brand new releases. Nintendo of America has yet to confirm or deny the return of game vouchers.

According to a new story from Nikkei, Nintendo is in the process of discussing hardware with suppliers regarding the production of its Switch successor.

According to Nikkei, 20 million Nintendo Switch hardware units are expected to be sold in the year 2023, and that the successor is not expected until the second half of 2024.
