Nixxes May Work On Other PlayStation Remasters After Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Nixxes Software may work on other remasters based on PlayStation first-party titles after Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

A Nixxes Software developer took to LinkedIn (via) to share that, after five PC ports, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is the first big upcoming “PlayStation content” project from the studio, suggesting that it has other first-party remasters in the pipeline.

They further mentioned that the development of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for PS5 and PC involved a lot of hard work from both the tech and art teams at Nixxes Software. They added that it’s amazing to see how the project has progressed, and that they can’t wait to share more details from the team in the weeks leading up to launch.

As for what the next “PlayStation content” remaster project from Nixxes Software may be is anyone’s guess. Though, some likely candidates may include remasters for FromSoftware’s Bloodborne and/or Japan Studio’s Gravity Rush 2. The latter was claimed to be in development for both PS5 and PC by an insider who had previously leaked information related to Gravity Rush projects, including details regarding the movie based on the series. They had also mentioned that the PC version won’t be released alongside the PS5 version, and will instead arrive at a later date, as was the case with The Last of Us remake.

The source had also claimed that Gravity Rush 2 remastered will included a “proper” photo mode. They added that one of their friends is a playtester on the project, and that they may be able to share some screenshots sometime soon. According to them, the online components from the original, such as dusty tokens, have been removed from the remastered release. Instead, any content that was earned through online activities will be earned in the remaster via a new short side quest.
