Moon Studios has marked the second anniversary of No Rest for the Wicked entering Early Access, highlighting continued development progress and player support since its initial launch. The studio confirmed that 1.7 million players have engaged with the title over the past two years, describing the community’s role as central to shaping the game’s evolution.
In a message shared with players, the developer acknowledged the milestone while keeping its remarks brief. “It’s been TWO YEARS since No Rest for the Wicked entered Early Access. Since then, the game has grown and evolved in ways we could only achieve because of you,” the studio stated, adding, “1.7 million of you have supported us, challenged us, and pushed us to do better. That’s exactly how we like it.” The message also confirmed that work on version 1.0 is ongoing, with Moon Studios noting, “We’re hard at work on 1.0. And console players, we haven’t forgotten you.”
The developer refrained from outlining specific updates or timelines, instead emphasizing its broader commitment to the project. “No big speeches today. Just this: we’re building something special here, and we’re not slowing down,” the statement continued, closing with a note of appreciation: “Two years of celebrating you in all the Wicked ways. Thanks for being part of it.”
No Rest for the Wicked first launched in Early Access on April 18, 2024, for Windows. Developed and published by Moon Studios, known for the Ori series, the action role-playing game places players in the role of a Cerim, a holy warrior tasked with confronting a plague known as the Pestilence on the island of Isola Sacra. The title blends precision-driven combat with character customization and features such as town building and cooperative multiplayer. A full release is also planned for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
