Phantom Blade Zero has been confirmed as a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for at least 12 months after its release. The game will also launch on PC, but it will not be available on other consoles during the first year following launch.
This means an Xbox version could potentially arrive after the first year, although S-Game has not announced plans for another console version or provided a specific release date beyond the exclusivity period.
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game is being developed by S-Game as a kungfupunk action RPG combining traditional Chinese wuxia influences with steampunk elements.
Players take control of Soul, an elite assassin who is betrayed by his organisation and left with only 66 days to live. The game features a semi-open world, fast-paced combat and more than 50 interchangeable weapons.
The August 17 State of Play provided an extended look at the game’s combat and progression systems, including different difficulty options and the ability to customise builds using primary and secondary Phantom Edge weapons.
The presentation also highlighted Donnie Yen’s involvement with the project. The martial arts star serves as a creative consultant and provides motion capture for Mo Yuan, a key character in the game.
