PS Plus Is Losing Need For Speed Unbound Alongside Other Games In August 2024

EA and Criterion Games’ racing game, Need For Speed Unbound, is set to be removed from the PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog alongside other games in August, 2024.

The Last Chance to Play section of the PlayStation Store has been updated to highlight the batch of games in the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog that will soon be making their exit from the service. Sony will be removing a total of six games from the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog in August, 2024.

Games Leaving PS Plus Extra & Premium in August 2024

The currently known list of games leaving PS Plus Extra during the remainder of August, 2024 can be seen below.

  • NBA 2K24 (PS4, PS5)
  • Need For Speed Unbound (PS5)
  • SpellForce lll Reforced (PS4, PS5)
  • Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed (PS4, PS5)
  • Trials of Mana (PS4)

As always, this is the last chance for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers to show these games some love before they leave the service. Subscribers can always view the “Last chance to play section” on the PlayStation Plus Collections page on PS5, or the Games Catalogue section in the PlayStation Plus menu on PS4, for games they may be interested in checking out before they leave the service.

Other games that recently made their exit from the PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog in July, 2024 include Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Kingdom Two Crowns, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, DYSMANTLE, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R, and My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure.

One of the prominent titles that are leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in August is Need for Speed Unbound. It was released on December 2, 2022, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Unbound is the twenty-fifth installment in the Need for Speed series and follows 2019’s Need For Speed Heat.
