It is a remake of the 2008 game of the same name, originally developed by EA Redwood Shores, and marks the first release in the Dead Space series since 2013’s Dead Space 3. The story takes place on a mining spaceship overrun by deadly creatures known as Necromorphs, following the discovery of a mysterious artifact called the Marker. Players control engineer Isaac Clarke as he navigates the ship, fights the Necromorphs, and battles with increasing psychological distress.
