Rockstar Games has updated Red Dead Redemption 2 to version 1.26 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s what you need to know about this update.
First of all, to get something out of the way, this is not related to the single-player of Red Dead Redemption 2. This is mainly an online-focused update by Rockstar Games that will also lead to a standalone version of Red Dead Online.

The download size of this new update is 4.92 GB on Xbox One, 5.3 GB on PS4, and 5.2 GB if you are downloading through the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. For other launchers on PC, the update is 2.9 GB on Epic Games Store and 2.7 GB on Steam.
We will share a detailed set of patch notes once they are available on the official support website. Update: (The patch notes are live)In the meanwhile, if you are interested in checking out Red Dead Online Standalone, be advised that it will require 123 GB of hard disk space.
On the positive side, this standalone version of Red Dead Online is priced relatively cheap at $4.99 which is 75% the regular price. This discount will be applicable until February 21, 2021. It is an introductory price to get new players into the Red Dead Online.
