Resident Evil 2 – The Ghost Survivors Rogue-Like Gameplay Mode Revealed
Resident Evil 2 is getting a special gameplay mode called The Ghost Survivors after the launch of the game. It is a free content update that will add this gameplay mode.
The Ghost Survivors will let users play through the game as multiple characters. It features Rogue-like elements by making everything random so you will get a new experience everytime you play through this mode. There is an in-game shop that gives you items but it is not tied to any microtransactions. You will earn points by doing activities that can be redeemed on the in-game shop.
Since there will be multiple playable characters, Capcom has revealed just three of them. These include Robert Kendo, a USS Member, and Mayor’s Daughter Katherine. The main game characters like Leon and Claire are not playable in this mode. There are more characters that will be announced at a later date.
Resident Evil 2 is also getting the classic costumes from PS1 for both Leon and Claire as revealed by Capcom during the launch party event. The reviews for the game are expected to drop today while there are some stores already selling an early copy thus leading to leaked gameplay footage making it online.
