Leon has two additional costumes that come with visual filters, titled Hero and Villain. All the aforementioned costumes can be seen in the screenshot above, along with the Deluxe Edition weapons called Sentinel Nine and Skull Shaker. Additionally, the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil 4 Remake features an optional soundtrack swap with the OST of the original game as well as a treasure map expansion.

The treasure map expansion will be available via the Deluxe Edition or can be purchased separately. Those who have access to the expansion will be able to find new treasure collectibles scattered throughout the game.

Previously, it was reported that Albert Wesker, a major villain in the Resident Evil series who had made a brief appearance in the original Resident Evil 4, will be making a return in the remake based on voice acting credits. Wesker is listed under “Top Cast” on IMDB, implying that he may have a more prominent role in the remake.

In the original Resident Evil 4, Wesker briefly appeared during Separate Ways, a minigame that is unlocked by completing the main story. Players assume control of Ada Wong in this bonus minigame. The only gameplay variations from Leon is Ada’s slightly faster movement speed, use of different melee attacks, and ability to use the hookshot to access areas that Leon couldn’t. Players begin the game with five health bars and a default sized attache case.

The minigame is spread across five chapters, with two chapters set in the village, one in the castle, and two on the island). It is considerably lengthier and more complex than Assignment: Ada. However, in this mode, the Merchant’s availability for weapon upgrades is disabled.
