Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will take approximately 20 hours to complete, while Asobo Studio has confirmed the game’s storage requirements and platforms ahead of its August 27, 2026 release.
The upcoming game is a prequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem, taking place 15 years before the events of Requiem. Players take control of Sophia, a young plunderer who travels to the mysterious Minotaur’s Island while attempting to uncover secrets surrounding her past.
Despite being connected to the previous games, players will not need to have played either Innocence or Requiem to enjoy Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy or understand its story.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Game Length And Story
The game is expected to take around 20 hours to complete. Sophia must navigate the island while dealing with enemies, puzzles and deadly trials, with the story moving between her time period and ancient Minoan times.
Players will use a stolen Minoan sphere to manipulate light and solve puzzles, while also relying on stealth, agility, parries and attacks during encounters. The island is also home to a mysterious creature that follows Sophia as she explores its depths.
The story centres on two heroes whose destinies are connected through fate and the mysterious legacy of the Macula.
Resonance Storage Size And Platforms
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The game will require approximately 58GB of storage on PS5, 66GB on Xbox and 76GB on PC. Asobo Studio has yet to provide the full PC system requirements, with those specifications set to be communicated before launch.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2026. The game is developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, continuing the partnership behind A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Anna Demetriou provides both the voice and motion capture performance for Sophia.
Players who pre-order the game will receive The Heritage Pack at no additional cost. The bonus content includes the Minoan Sword, Alec’s Pendant and an in-game artbook containing more than 30 pages.
