SEGA and Lizardcube have launched SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing the 2D action platformer and its hand-drawn worlds to Nintendo’s latest console. The game is available from $29.99.
SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance follows series protagonist Joe Musashi, who returns from a previous adventure to discover that his village has been destroyed and his clan turned to stone. Joe sets out on a quest for vengeance, battling enemies and bosses across a series of hand-drawn environments.
The game features multiple paths that players can discover or unlock, alongside action-focused gameplay built around attacking and reacting while moving through its stages.
A digital Deluxe Edition and physical Deluxe Edition are also available. Both include the SEGA Villains Stage DLC, which sees Joe Musashi face three characters from other SEGA franchises: Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog, Goro Majima from Like a Dragon/Yakuza and Death Adder from Golden Axe.
SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Nintendo Switch.
