Sony Has Updated The List Of Games Available To Redeem Via PlayStation Stars Rewards
Sony Interactive Entertainment has updated the list of games available to redeem via the PlayStation Stars Rewards.
A few weeks ago, we had reported that the PlayStation Stars rewards section had removed most PS5 titles. Members were able to acquired them by redeeming accumulated reward points. Only one remaining PS5 game was being offered as a reward via the program prior to the new update.
As seen above, after the recent update, PlayStation Stars members can now redeem the PS5 version of Balatro using points accumulated via past PlayStation Store purchases and campaigns. In addition, PS4 games like Stardew Valley and Minecraft are also available via the reward program in exchange for 3,750 reward points.
After the removal of Helldivers 2 and Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade had previously become the only PS5 title that was available as a reward for PlayStation Stars members to redeem. After the nee update, the game is now joined by Balatro. Though, it’s worth mentioning that if you do not have the required number of reward points, you cannot cover the deficit using real money. For example, you’ll either need to have 17,500 points for Stellar Blade or you’ll need to pay $69.99 to purchase the game in its entirety. As such, we recommend trading reward points for PlayStation Store wallet funds instead, and waiting for a sale to purchase the game on discount. The same goes for the other PS5 titles that are no longer being offered as part of the reward program.
If you haven’t yet become a PlayStation Stars member, you’ll need to download the app on your mobile device and register using your PSN account. Once that’s out of the way, you’ll begin receiving reward points for all future purchases. For every dollar spent on PlayStation Store purchases, you will receive 100 reward points. Furthermore, PS Plus members have additional avenues to get up to 150 reward points on a monthly basis by booting up a few games listed in PlayStation Stars campaigns.
