Squid Game has been watched by more than 100 million fans all over the world setting the record for the most-watched show of all time on Netflix.
In a tweet, Netflix has officially confirmed this record revealing that more than 111 million fans have tuned in to watch the South Korean thriller that pits a group of humans in a game of death for a pool of prize money.
Squid Game was released back in September but word of mouth made the show quite popular. It is still going on with the show continuing to appear in headlines.

The show is also popular for its opening episode titled “Red Light, Green Light” which features a giant robotic doll. It was also the first game of the show.
In the show, a group of 400+ people is taken to a remote island where they are given a choice to take part in a set of games to win a huge pool or prize money. Most of the people that are taken for these games owe a huge amount of debt in their life, so they willingly take part in it the games not realizing that it can potentially end their life.
Hwang Dong-hyuk wrote and directed the show, which stars Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Wi Ha-joon, Jung Ho-yeon, O Yeong-su, Heo Sung-tae, Anupam Tripathi, and Kim Joo-ryoung.
