Respawn Entertainment has finally revealed their upcoming action game based on the Star Wars universe with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It is due out on November 15, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Fallen Order will take place after the events of Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. The game features a brand new hero who is a young padawan trying to survive after the events of Order 66. The game was described as third-person melee-action although the reveal trailer didn’t feature any gameplay, it was created using in-engine assets.
Fallen Order was created using the Unreal Engine 4. Stig Asmussen, who has previously worked on God of War 3, is the director behind this upcoming game. He explained the concept and vision by stating that they wanted anyone who picked it up to understand it clearly, but those who can master the combat will find it rewarding as well. This will be a single-player narrative-driven story game set in the Star Wars universe.
Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars™ story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season, 15 November 2019.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game set after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith™. Develop your Force abilities, hone your lightsaber techniques, and explore the ancient mysteries of a long-lost civilization—all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.
Respawn Entertainment had to work a lot with Lucas Films in order to create the story, concept, and world for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game has been in development for a few years now, and an official artwork was leaked earlier by Amazon. Right now, there is no gameplay footage available but that should change soon when EA hosts their conference at the upcoming E3 2019.
