Star Wars Zero Company Launches August 27, Pre-Orders Live

Electronic Arts and developer Bit Reactor have announced that Star Wars Zero Company, a new single-player turn-based tactics game set during the Clone Wars, will launch on August 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are now available across all platforms.

The announcement arrived alongside a new gameplay trailer that offers a closer look at the game’s tactical combat and story-driven campaign. Developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, the title presents an original narrative set behind the front lines of the Clone Wars, focusing on covert operations and a cast of newly created characters alongside familiar elements from the Star Wars universe.

Players take on the role of Hawks, a former officer of the Galactic Republic who now leads Zero Company, a group of hired specialists drawn from across the galaxy. The team includes a diverse lineup of operatives, such as a Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian from Clan Verminoth, a Jedi Padawan, and other recruits. Their mission is to track down and stop Kundri Fathom, the leader of a Separatist-aligned cult known as the Infinite Coil.

According to Bit Reactor, Star Wars Zero Company combines strategic gameplay with cinematic storytelling, placing a strong emphasis on character progression and squad management. Between missions, players will operate from a headquarters known as The Den, where they can recruit new Operators, upgrade facilities, acquire equipment, and select missions from a holotable.

Combat revolves around developing relationships between squad members, with stronger bonds unlocking support abilities and cross-training bonuses that improve combat effectiveness. The campaign unfolds across a dynamic galaxy map featuring more than 150 planets, with player decisions influencing how events progress throughout the story.

Customization plays a significant role in the experience. Hawks and recruited Operators can be created from eight species, including Human, Twi’lek, Togruta, Zabrak, Devaronian, Neimoidian, Ovissian, and Weequay. Players will be able to modify appearances, voices, outfits, specializations, and talents as they build a squad tailored to their preferred playstyle.

EA also confirmed pricing details for the game’s editions. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A Deluxe Edition will be available for $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles, adding two cosmetic packs and five Clone Wars-inspired weapon themes.

All pre-orders include the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack, which contains an R3 droid, translucent crystalline astromech heads for R4 and R5 variants, and the BR-1 droid. Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive both the standard pre-order bonuses and the additional Deluxe Edition content.

EA also announced that the game’s soundtrack, featuring an original score composed by Grammy Award-winning composer Gordy Haab, will be released through Walt Disney Records on the same day as the game’s launch.

Star Wars Zero Company arrives on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 27, 2026.
